Rebuilding Partitions on a Text Index

To rebuild a partition on a Text index:

  1. From the Text Indexes page, select the index.

  2. From the actions to perform, select Rebuild.

  3. Click Go. The Rebuild Index page with list of partitions appears.

  4. Select the partition to rebuild.

  5. Optionally specify the memory to be used.

  6. Optionally specify the parallel degree. This cannot be greater than the number of partitions on this index.

  7. Optionally select to perform rebuild index online. This is only valid for index type of CONTEXT.

  8. Optionally enable logging to a log file. You may specify a log file name other than the default that is given, and you may choose to have the previous log file overwritten.

  9. Click Submit.

You can view the comparable SQL statements for this operation by clicking Show SQL. Before you submit this job, you can cancel the job and settings by clicking Cancel.
