Memory Size

You can specify the amount of runtime memory to use for an operation like synchronizing and index. Specifying a large amount of memory improves performance because there is less I/O. This, in turn, can reduce index maintenance because less I/O produces less fragmentation. Specifying smaller amounts of memory might be useful if you want to track indexing progress or when runtime memory is scarce.
