From the View Text Index page, on either the General or Size and Statistics pages, you can access the Edit Text Index page, which enables you to edit preferences and attributes for the selected Text index and partitions.

Editing a Text index is divided into two categories: edit an entire or non-partitioned Text index and edit the partition of a partitioned Text index.

For edit operations on an entire index, you can perform the following actions:

• Renaming a Text Index

• Changing Synchronization Mode

• Specifying Basic Wordlist Attributes

• Editing Datastore URL Attributes for a Non-partitioned Text Index

• Editing Datastore URL Attributes for a Partitioned Text Index

For partitions on a Text index, you can perform the following additional actions:

• Renaming a Partition on a Text Index
