Whether you are building a multimaster replication environment or creating a master site to support a materialized view group at a remote location, using the Configure Master Sites for Replication Wizard helps you quickly create a master site. This process prepares your database for a replicated master group.
Preparing all sites for a default multimaster replication configuration is a simple process using the Replication Configure Master Sites for Replication Wizard. At each master site that you specify, this wizard performs the following actions:
Creates a database account to serve as a replication administrator. By default, the wizard creates this account to serve also as the replication propagator and receiver.
Grants the necessary privileges to the replication administrator, propagator, or receiver account.
Creates scheduled links to all other master sites in the environment.
Schedules purging of the deferred transaction queue for all master sites in the system.
Run the Wizard as follows:
In Enterprise Manager, connect to the Database Instance Home page as the replication administrator.
Click Data Movement.
Under the Advanced Replication section, click Setup. The Advanced Replication: Setup page appears.
Expand Multi-master Replication, and select Configure Master Sites for Replication.
Click Continue to start the Configure Master Sites for Replication Wizard.
Complete the pages in the wizard. For more information about using the wizard, click Help for each page of the wizard.
After you setup the site as a master site, log out of Oracle Enterprise Manager and then log back in as the replication administrator (typically REPADMIN user).
