Editing a Materialized View

To edit a materialized view:

1. In Enterprise Manager, connect to the Database Instance Home page as the replication administrator.

2. Click Data Movement.

3. Under the Advanced Replication section, click Manage. The Advanced Replication: Administration page appears.

4. Under Materialized View Site section, click the number next to Materialized Views to open the Materialized Views page.

5. Select the materialized view you want to edit and click Edit.

   The General subpage of the Edit Materialized View page appears.

6. Modify the settings on the General, Refresh, Storage, Index Storage, Options, and Master Info pages as necessary.

   Click Help on these tabs for information about the controls.

7. Click Apply.

Defining Triggers on Materialized Views

You can define PL/SQL triggers on a materialized view. However, such triggers must be coded so that they do not fire during materialized view refresh. Triggers that fire during materialized view refresh may generate unexpected results.
