Specify Instantiation Users: Step 1

You must generate a template instantiation file for each user that will instantiate the template at a remote materialized view site.

1. In the User Credentials section, specify the user that will be used by the materialized view site when it connects to the master site for refreshing data:

   • If you want to create a new user for the materialized view site to connect for refreshing data, then select Create Proxy User and enter the user name and its password in the Username and Password fields, respectively.

   • If you want to use an existing user that the materialized view site must use to connect for refreshing data, then select Use Existing User and select the appropriate user from the Username list.

2. In the SYSTEM Credentials section, enter the password for the SYSTEM user at the master site in the Password field.

3. In the Users section, select the user who will instantiate the template at the remote materialized view site, which is defined by the global database name:

   • Select the user who will instantiate the template at the remote materialized view site from the Name list.

   • For each selected user, enter the global name (Global Names) of the site where the user will instantiate the deployment template in the Global Database name of Materialized View Site field.

     Note: Do not use colons (:) in the site name.

     You need to enter a global database name for each user that you add.

4. Click Continue.
