Comparing Two Templates

Because you have the ability to copy templates, you may want to determine what differences exist between two existing templates. The Compare Deployment Templates Wizard allows you to quickly identify the differences between two templates at the same master site. It generates a report that displays all of the differences at the object level between the two templates.

Complete the following steps to compare your deployment templates:

1. In Enterprise Manager, connect to the Database Instance Home page as the replication administrator.

2. Click Data Movement.

3. Under the Advanced Replication section, click Manage.

   The Administration Overview page appears.

4. Under the Materialized View Replication, Master Site section, click the number link next to Templates.

   The Deployment Templates page appears.

5. Select the templates you want to compare from the Name list.

6. Select Compare from the Actions list.

7. Click Go when you have made all of the necessary selections.

   The Compare Deployment Templates page appears. The results of the compare operation are displayed in the Results field.

8. Click Save if you want to store the result of the comparison operation.
