Altering General Template Settings

If you need to modify the general properties of any existing deployment template, complete the following steps:

Note: General template settings cannot be altered if the template has been instantiated.

  1. In Enterprise Manager, connect to the Database Instance Home page as the replication administrator.

  2. Click Data Movement.

  3. Under the Advanced Replication section, click callbackManage.

    The Administration Overview page appears.

  4. Under the Materialized View Replication, Master Site section, click the number link next to Templates.

    The Deployment Templates page appears.

  5. Select the deployment template that you want to modify and click the icon in the Edit column.

    The General subpage of the Edit Template page appears.

  6. Modify the contents of the Name, Schema, Refresh Group, and Description fields as necessary.

    Name: The name of the deployment template.

    Schema: The name of the schema on which the deployment template is based.

    Refresh Group: The name of the refresh group to which all materialized views in the deployment template are added during the instantiation process.

    Description: User comments are stored in this field.

  7. Click Apply when you have made all of the necessary modifications to the selected deployment template.
