Using Multiple Conflict Resolution Methods

There may be times when a single conflict resolution method is not enough to resolve an update conflict detected by Oracle. Consider the scenario where a timestamp conflict resolution method has been defined, but both of the conflicting updates occurred at exactly the same second. In this case, there is insufficient information to resolve the conflict. Here, site priority method might be defined to resolve the conflict if the timestamp method cannot.

To reduce the possibility of unresolved conflicts, you can define additional conflict resolution methods that are used when the previous conflict resolution method fails to resolve a detected conflict. Conflict resolution methods are applied in order until the conflict is resolved.
