Complete the following steps to update resolution methods for maximum and minimum conflict resolution:
Select the column group that you just created from the Name list under the Column Groups section.
Click Edit.
The General subpage of the Edit Column Group page appears.
Click Resolution Methods.
The Resolution Methods subpage of the Edit Column Group page appears.
Click Add.
The Add Resolution Method page appears.
Select Minimum or Maximum from the Resolution Methods list.
Minimum: If the new value of the designated column from the originating site is less than the current value at the destination site, the column group values from the originating site are applied at the destination site. If the new value of the designated column from the originating site is greater than the current value at the destination site, the conflict is resolved by leaving the current values of the column group unchanged.
Maximum: If the new value of the designated column from the originating site is greater than the current value at the destination site, the column group values from the originating site are applied at the destination site. If the new value of the designated column from the originating site is less than the current value at the destination site, the conflict is resolved by leaving the current values of the column group unchanged.
In the Parameter Column list, select the column that contains the value on which you want to base your minimum or maximum conflict resolution method. The column must contain a numeric data type, such as NUMBER
.
Click Continue.
Add another conflict resolution method if necessary.
