Date: June 28, 2007 Patch file: OWB 10.2 one-off patch Pre-requsites : Installed OWB 10.2.0.1, 10.2.0.2, or 10.2.0.3 Resolved Issues in this patch: 5416660 PROCESS FLOW TRANSITIONS ARE MISSING IN GENERATED XML INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: It is important to note that this fix is for any 10.2 version of OWB. This patch needs to be applied to each installed design repository. How to apply the patch: 1) Unzip the contents of the zip to a temp directory (TEMP_LOC) e.g. c:\temp 2) If there are any OWB products running, exit from all of them. 3) Execute sqlplus from the temporary directory in step 1. Use the following command and enter in the requested information. sqlplus /nolog @fix_bug5416660.sql You will be prompted for the following information: Host Name: Port Number: Service Name: Existing OWB Repository Owner Username: Existing OWB Repository Owner Password: Enter execution mode (0 = Report only / 1 = Report and Fix) It is recommended that the first time this script is run against a design repository, execution mode '0' is picked. This way, the repository will be examined without any changes being applied against the repository. Example output is below: ================================================== Bug5416660_FixProcessFlows:FixProcessFlows - Start ================================================== . Run Mode : [1 = Report and Fix] . Project [ISSB_ODS] Module [STUD_TEST_PF] ...Package [TEST_PKG] Process [COPY_OF_VAX_STUDDEMO_PF] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->END_ERROR] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->SHELL_COMMANDS] . Project [ISSB_ODS] Module [STUD_TEST_PF] ...Package [TEST_PKG] Process [VAX_STUDDEMO_3] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->EMAIL_1] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->SHELL_COMMANDS] . ================================================== Bug5416660_FixProcessFlows:FixProcessFlows - End ================================================== In the example above, there are two seperate processflows, with two errors each. The project/module/process flow package is displayed for each process flow. Then the transitions that are invalid are listed below. Once the review is completed, re-run the script using execution mode of '1'. The output will look like this when the rows are fixed. ================================================== Bug5416660_FixProcessFlows:FixProcessFlows - Start ================================================== . Run Mode : [1 = Report and Fix] . Project [ISSB_ODS] Module [STUD_TEST_PF] ...Package [TEST_PKG] Process [COPY_OF_VAX_STUDDEMO_PF] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->END_ERROR] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->SHELL_COMMANDS] .........FIXED . Project [ISSB_ODS] Module [STUD_TEST_PF] ...Package [TEST_PKG] Process [VAX_STUDDEMO_3] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->EMAIL_1] ......Invalid Transition [FILE_EXISTS--->SHELL_COMMANDS] .........FIXED . ================================================== Bug5416660_FixProcessFlows:FixProcessFlows - End ================================================== It is possible to verify the results by running the script again - if the repository is fixed, no results should display. ================================================== Bug5416660_FixProcessFlows:FixProcessFlows - Start ================================================== . Run Mode : [1 = Report and Fix] . ================================================== Bug5416660_FixProcessFlows:FixProcessFlows - End ================================================== 5416660 one-of patch Archive contains: readme.txt bug5416660.pks bug5416660.pkb fix_bug5416660.sql DISCLAIMER This one-off patch has only undergone basic development testing and it has not been through a complete test cycle generally followed for a production patch set. Though the fix in this one-off patch rectifies the bug, Oracle Corporation will not be responsible for other issues that may arise due to this fix. Oracle Corporation recommends to later upgrade to the next production patch set, when available. Applying this one-off could overwrite other one-off patches applied since the last patch set.
