<p>When creating schema objects, you must observe the schema object naming rules in <a href="javascript:open('http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/lookup?id=SQLRF00223','newWindow').focus()"><span class="italic">Oracle Database SQL Language Reference</span></a>.</p>

Use the same prefix for names of objects of the same type. For example, <code>t_</code> for tables, <code>v_</code> for views, <code>seq_</code> for sequences, and <code>syn_</code> for synonyms. This practice makes your objects easy to identify, and groups them in the SQL&nbsp;Developer Connections navigator display, SQL&nbsp;Developer reports, and queries whose results are ordered by object name.</td>
