 Oracle Enterprise Manager provides an effective and efficient means 
 to keep your Oracle databases available and running efficiently.
 
 Virtually any command or feature available from the command line is 
 also available from your Web browser using Oracle Enterprise Manager. 
 However, Oracle Enterprise Manager was not designed simply as a 
 replacement for the command-line interface to the Oracle Database. 
 Instead, Oracle Enterprise Manager provides a methodology you can use 
 to manage your database efficiently.
 
 Your tasks as a Database Administrator (DBA) can be divided into two main 
 categories:

 <li> Database monitoring </li>
 <li>Database administration </li>
</ul>
Enterprise Manager helps DBAs develop an effective methodology for identifying 
 database performance problems through monitoring and addressing those issues 
 quickly through administration.
