The Advanced Replication: Setup page appears.</p> </li> <li> <p>Expand <span class="bold">Updateable Materialized View Replication</span>, and select <img src="shortcut.png" alt="callback" border="0" /><a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="redirectEMpage('ADVRP_CONFIG_MV');"><span class="bold">Configure Materialized View Sites for Replication</span></a>.</p> </li> <li> <p>Click <span class="bold">Continue</span> to start the Configure Materialized View Sites for Replication Wizard.</p> </li> </ol> <p>Complete the pages in the wizard. For more information about using the wizard, click <span class="bold">Help</span> for each page of the wizard.</p> <a id="ADVRP381" name="ADVRP381"></a> <p class="subhead2">Disconnected Materialized Views</p> <p>You may not always be able to connect to a materialized view site with Oracle Enterprise Manager, such as in the case, for example, of a mass deployment environment where a materialized view site resides on individual laptop computers. In this type of environment, the materialized view sites are frequently disconnected from the network.</p> <p>On computers disconnected from the network, setup of a materialized view site must occur on the computer that will contain the materialized view environment. As a result, you obviously cannot connect with Oracle Enterprise Manager to set up the materialized view site.</p> <p>The <a href="javascript:open('http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/lookup?id=REPMA119','newWindow').focus()"><span class="italic">Oracle Database Advanced Replication Management API Reference</span></a> describes how to build a script manually that will set up a materialized view site.</p> <p>You can also use Oracle Enterprise Manager to generate a script and then modify the script for each disconnected site.
