 Introduction to Oracle Enterprise Manager</H1>
 
 Welcome to Oracle Enterprise Manager, your primary solution for managing your 
 entire computing enterprise.
From any location where you can access a Web browser, you can now manage Oracle 
 databases, application servers, host computers, and Web applications, as well 
 as the related hardware and software that supports your Web applications. For 
 example, you can now monitor your Web application performance from your office, 
 your home, or from a remote site, as long as you have access to a Web browser.
In addition, Enterprise Manager provides a wide range of functionality designed 
 to increase your productivity and efficiency as an administrator. For example, 
 you can use Enterprise Manager to:

 Monitor the performance and availability of your Web applications from 
 the end-user perspective. 
 </li>
 <li> 
 Review and manage the configuration of your software and hardware inventories.
 </li>
 <li> Develop and maintain central management policies, such administrator roles 
 and privileges, alert thresholds and baselines, automatic notifications, and 
 blackout schedules.</li>

The Oracle Enterprise Manager product set consists of:

 The Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control, which is installed 
 with and designed to manage your Oracle Application Server 10g instances

 <li>
 The Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control, which is installed with 
 and designed to manage your Oracle Database 10g instances

 <li>
 The Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, which provides central management 
 of your entire computing enterprise
